About us
A risk and intelligence partner built for the way business runs in the UAE
We are a corporate risk management and intelligence firm working from the Dubai World Trade Center, helping companies, investors and legal teams across the UAE and the wider GCC act on facts rather than assumptions. Corporate investigations, due diligence and counter-surveillance sit under one roof, so the same team that vets a counterparty can also secure the room where you negotiate with them.
A trusted name in Corporate Intelligence and Risk Management
INSIDE RISK MANAGEMENT FZCO protects the assets and rights of companies against fraud, abuse and unfair competition. We support directors and shareholders in strategic decisions where the cost of being wrong is high: a partner who is not who they claim to be, a hire with a fabricated record, an acquisition target hiding a liability, or a boardroom that is no longer private.
Our structure reflects that reality. The Background and Due Diligence division handles corporate investigations, screening and intelligence. The Defensive and Counter-Surveillance Technologies division handles the physical and digital side: bug sweeps, mobile threat detection, secure communication and managed monitoring. Most clients need both at different points in the same engagement, and we deliver them without handing you off to a third party.
Why companies trust us with sensitive work
Proven across disciplines
Experienced analysts and investigators who work daily on corporate investigations, due diligence, cyber risk and counter-surveillance, not generalists improvising outside their field.
Local knowledge, global reach
A Dubai World Trade Center base with strong UAE market knowledge, backed by a Swiss headquarters and offices in Italy, the UK, the USA, Hong Kong, South Africa and Brazil for cross-border matters.
Confidential and compliant
Discretion is the default. We work within the UAE regulatory framework and privacy law, so findings hold up and your name is never the one exposed by the enquiry.
Corporate investigations grounded in the UAE
Most enquiries reach us for the same reason: a decision is waiting on information that someone would prefer you did not have. Our corporate investigations answer those questions through documented, evidence-based work, drawing on company registries, court records, public filings, verified references and structured open-source research rather than rumour.
Conducting this work properly in the UAE matters. Background checks, executive screening and due diligence into companies and individuals are permitted here, provided they respect Federal law and local privacy rules. Done by a local team that understands those boundaries, the report is both accurate and usable. Done carelessly, it can expose the client to the very problems they were trying to avoid.
- Internal investigations into fraud and misconduct
- Integrity checks on partners, suppliers and counterparties
- Reputational dossiers on companies and individuals
- Asset, ownership and beneficial-ownership tracing
Two divisions, one accountable team
Due diligence and intelligence
Investigative due diligence, market and competitive intelligence, and M&A and investment risk assessment to support strategic decisions.
Due diligence advisory →Pre-hire and background screening
Employment verification, credential checks and integrity screening for executive and corporate hires across the Emirates.
Background screening →TSCM and counter-surveillance
Technical surveillance countermeasures, bug sweeps and assessments that confirm a room or vehicle is clear before sensitive discussions.
Counter-surveillance →Mobile and cyber defence
Mobile threat and trojan detection, secure communication, phishing simulation and managed detection and response for business-critical devices.
How an engagement works
Scope and objectives
We define the question, the decision it supports and the risk you are trying to manage, then agree the cost and timeline up front.
Collection and analysis
Analysts gather evidence from registries, records, open sources and field enquiry, then test it for accuracy before it reaches a report.
Clear reporting
You receive decision-ready findings: what we found, what it means, and where the residual risk sits, without padding.
Action and protection
Where the findings expose exposure, the counter-surveillance and cyber teams can step in to close the gap.
The difference clients feel
- Costs that climb as the work drifts
- Timelines that slip past the decision date
- Reports padded with everything except a conclusion
- Intelligence and security handled by separate vendors
- Certainty in cost, agreed before we begin
- Certainty in time, mapped to your deadline
- Certainty in results, with findings you can act on
- One team for investigation and protection
Intelligence is only useful if your own information stays private
A reputational dossier loses its value if the boardroom where you discuss it is bugged, or if an executive's phone is leaking the same data you paid to protect. That is why our second division exists. Counter-surveillance technical assessments, mobile threat detection and secure communication keep your side of the table closed while the intelligence work happens.
It is also why so many engagements use both divisions. The team running market intelligence on a target can flag where the client is exposed, and the security team can act on it without a separate procurement, briefing or contract.
Frequently asked questions
Are corporate investigations legal in the UAE?
Yes. There is no UAE legislation that prohibits companies from carrying out background checks, executive screening or due diligence into companies and individuals, as long as the work respects Federal law and local privacy rules. The practical risk is not legality but method: enquiries conducted without regard for those rules can expose the client to prosecution. Working with a local team that understands the boundaries keeps the findings both accurate and usable.
What kinds of corporate investigations do you handle?
Our Background and Due Diligence division covers internal investigations into fraud and misconduct, integrity checks on partners and suppliers, pre-hire and executive background screening, reputational dossiers on companies and natural persons, investigative due diligence, beneficial-ownership tracing, and M&A and investment risk assessment. Each is built around the specific decision it supports rather than a fixed checklist.
What does it mean that you have two divisions?
We run a Background and Due Diligence division for intelligence work and a Defensive and Counter-Surveillance Technologies division for physical and digital protection: TSCM bug sweeps, mobile threat and trojan detection, secure communication, phishing simulation and managed detection and response. Most clients eventually need both, and keeping them under one provider removes the gap that opens when investigation and security sit with separate vendors.
Where are you based and which regions do you cover?
Our operational base is at the Dubai World Trade Center, and we serve clients across the UAE and the wider GCC. We are part of a global network with a Swiss headquarters and offices in Italy, the UK, the USA, Hong Kong, South Africa and Brazil, which matters when an enquiry crosses borders or a counterparty has links outside the region.
How do you protect confidentiality?
Discretion is built into how we work. Engagements are handled by experienced professionals on a need-to-know basis, findings are shared only with the people you authorise, and the enquiry itself is conducted so that your interest in the subject does not become visible. Confidentiality is the point of the service, not an add-on to it.
How are cost and timing agreed?
We scope the work before it starts and commit to certainty in cost, certainty in time and certainty in results. You know the price and the deadline before we begin, and the report is written to support a decision by that date rather than to fill pages.
Who typically engages your services?
Our clients are usually risk, legal, compliance, security and C-suite decision-makers at companies, investment firms and family offices operating in or entering the UAE and GCC, along with international firms with cross-border exposure. The common thread is a high-value decision, a partner, a hire, an acquisition or a sensitive meeting, where being wrong is expensive.
